Rangers Fc Of Nigeria C.E.O blast Libyan Football Officials

Rangers Fc Of Nigeria, Chief Executive Officer Barrister Amobi Ezeaku has condemned the actions of the Libyan Football Authorities metted out to the Super Eagles Of Nigeria.

In his comment via the wall of top Soccer Journalist Fabrizio Romano on Facebook, he narrated

"The recent actions and tactics employed by Libyan Federation and clubs against Nigerian teams and the Nigeria Football Federation represent a disturbing pattern that must be unequivocally condemned. Such actions, which often aim to undermine fair competition, lack respect for the spirit of sportsmanship and integrity that should define African football.

Football is a powerful tool for unity, cultural exchange, and mutual respect. However, the conduct of some Libyan football stakeholders reflects a disregard for these values, instead resorting to intimidation, harassment, and other outdated measures that belong in a bygone era. These actions tarnish the reputation of African football and undermine the progress we are striving to achieve on the continent.

As a sports lawyer, I stand firmly against any form of hostility or unfair play that seeks to exploit the vulnerability of Nigerian teams when they compete on foreign soil. The Confederation of African Football (CAF) and all relevant bodies must take immediate steps to address these issues, ensuring that the principles of fairness and integrity are upheld in all competitions. It is through such actions that we can foster a truly competitive and respectful environment, where the beautiful game can thrive.

We must not allow these retrogressive practices to continue unchallenged. The time has come for all stakeholders in African football to stand together, ensuring that every match is played with dignity and in the spirit of true sportsmanship"

Super Eagles are billed to take on the Libyan Mediterranean Knights on Tuesday for the 2025 Afcon qualifier in Libya.
