In an exclusive interview with facingsports.blogspot.com the Saudi 1989 FIFA U20 World Cup Super Star lamented the attitude of some players towards reporting to camp late when there is a crucial game for the Country. Quote "Can they do that in their clubsides in Abroad, never so why should they do that when they are invited to play for their Country" queried Dimeji Lawal. End of quote. He also added, "when I was playing with Late Stephen Keshi I used to call him daddy, when I was playing with Rashidi Yekini I call him daddy despite being in the same team with them" Lawal concluded.
