Former Youth International Soccer Player Salisu Nakande M.O.N says, before the U16 National Team won the FIFA Kodak World Cup in Beijing China in 1985, no one believed that the team would win the first FIFA U16  Tournament for Africa. 

Salisu who has served as match Commissioner in the Nigeria Professional Football League for 18yrs explains

"even when we were traveling through France to Beijing the Coaches were afraid because of our size but Coach Christian Chukwu and Sebastian Brodericks Imaseun of blessed memory insisted that sizes don't play football but tactics and team work does, on the final against Germany we beat them 2-0 to win the World cup for Nigeria and Africa" 

Salisu Nakande Mamuwa spoke to our Chief Correspondent Sunday Onuchukwu Osunkwo in an exclusive telephone interview. 

He said Nigeria need to go back to Search for talented players from the grassroot in other to start winning laurels again.
