Former Super Falcons Of Nigeria Winger Patience Avre Odeli says past Nigeria Football Federation Presidents and Government officials mistreated Former Super Falcons players from 1999 till the last bunch that just won the Women's Africa Cup Of Nations (WAFCON) 2024 in Morocco.
According to the 1999 USA Women's World Cup player for Nigeria, she narrated how they suffered wearing old and outdated jerseys to play for Nigeria.
"We were treated so badly by former NFF officials and government protocols, many of our set has died, many of us are still alive. I must thank the President Bola Ahmed Tinubu for rewarding the girls and also praising them for their fighting spirit at this time in Nigeria history, many of our old players are suffering a lot, I was fortunate with some of us"

"Old players should be remembered for their services to Nigeria too.
Rewarding players uplifts their spirit and ginger them to achieve more"
Avre Odeli added
Patience Avre played for Nigeria at three FIFA Women's World Cups including several appearances at the Women's Africa Cup of Nations.
